Here at Hodge Heating & Air Conditioning of Lake Norman Inc., we want to make sure that you are able to stay warm through the coldest seasons of the year by ensuring that you have your furnace well-cared for. If you are having furnace problems, now is the time to take care of them since there is still plenty of winter ahead of us! Here are a few common furnace problems that shouldn’t be ignored this winter.
- Furnace turning off and on again frequently. When your furnace is clicking off and on and off again on repeat, this is a furnace problem that isn’t going to resolve itself. Fortunately, the causes are fairly easy to troubleshoot. You might have a clogged filter, an issue with the thermostat or something that could be blocking the airflow.
- Furnace is making noises. When your furnace fan is blowing, that is going to be somewhat noisy and is usually fine to overlook, but it is the other noises that shouldn’t be ignored! If you hear your furnace making rattling, rumbling, squeaking or other noises, it is better to have them checked out then assume you have a very vocal furnace.
- Furnace isn’t heating. When your fan is blowing, but no warm air is coming out, then the issue is a more complex one that you could use help determining the cause of.
